February Bonus Ball – A Rollover

There was no winner of the February Bonus Ball, so this month’s prize money ‘Rolls Over’ to next month when the prize will be £90 As a way of raising extra funds for the club, and having a bit of fun in the process with the chance of winning a £30 cash prize every month, club members are given the option to buy, for £20, a ‘National Lottery Bonus Ball’ when they renew their membership in April. You don’t actually get a ball, just a number from 1 to 59. Once you have your ball number, all you have to do is wait for it to come up as the National Lottery Bonus  Ball on the first Saturday night of every month. This is a great way to support your club, and so far has raised over £4,000 for the club funds, whilst paying out a similar amount in prize money. So why not add the small extra amount to your subscription, and maybe in 2018 – It could be YOU! List of winners for club members only – Bonus Ball...

Manor House Hotel Spring Break

17th – 21st May 2018 Some of you may not have seen the poster at the clubhouse and we wanted to make sure that everyone has the chance to join our group. Last year we had a group of 20 people and everyone had a great time. For those who don’t know about the Manor House, the  sports facilities at the hotel are exceptional and include: indoor and outdoor tennis courts, indoor and outdoor bowls, badminton, squash, short tennis courts, table tennis, pitch and putt, swimming pools with Jacuzzi, sauna and steam rooms, ten-pin bowling.  Plus an indoor skating rink has just opened. This place is fantastic value for golfers.  The Ashbury Hotel nearby has seven 18-hole golf courses that may be used free of charge.  Tee-off times may be booked before departure. There is a wide variety of craft classes available.  These are generally free except where consumables need to be paid for.  You may bring your own pictures to frame, or photos to hot press onto t-shirts, coasters, etc. A wide variety of beauty and massage treatments are available at a very reasonable cost. A state of the art Hydro Spa, with wet/dry sauna, steam rooms, treatment rooms, etc. A guided walk on Dartmoor is organised most days and the hotel will provide maps if required. The food at the Manor House is plentiful and very good.  Breakfast and lunch are buffet style and the evening meal is a traditional 4-course dinner. Kathy Cox – Here is a link to their website  . . .
